B3000? nope. 1st its a ford ranger, so if you are picking a ranger...then pick a ranger. 2nd, the 3 liter wasn’t much of anything compared to the 4 liter.
Also the lobo, eh? what was wrong with the f150? I guess lobo is a cooler name, but I don’t think the bubble Taurus f150 is all that great of a truck really. The rest of the list is pretty good.

1. 1990-95 Hilux/Hilux Surf/4Runner
And I’m glad to see the vague shit that was the GMT400 and is the white trash choice of transportation didn’t make the list. Even a 383 doesn’t give them any feel.

The Mazda is the enthusiast’s choice.
I prefer the 3.0L, personally, it is more rev happy a fits the Mazda DNA better.

Disagree on the ‘03 Ford because the Triton is a piece of shit, and the ‘93 Dodge is a great engine with a marginal truck wrapped around it, but I’ll allow it. My personal best truck nomination is the one I own, a ‘95 F150 XLT 4x4:
I’d also nominate the ‘88-99 GM Silverado/Sierra twins, they’re damn hard to kill.

Maybe not as quick off the line, but it is faster (top speed) than the Syclone.

The Lightning probably held the top speed or 1/4 mile test. Syclone was 4.3 sec 0-60, Lighnings never came close that I’m aware of. Not that I’m down on the Lightning, though. I just wanted to mess with Sampsonite

No Square Body Chevy? I’m disappoint!
But in all seriousness The First Gen Ram Diesel(your #10) is probably the best truck ever made.

That is correct. But I wanted to mess with Sampsonite :)
I do wonder how fast it would have gone though, if it wasn’t limited to 125(? I think that’s the right number). I doubt if it would have been faster overall, what with AWD holding it back, but the 1/4 mile would probably come closer to the Lightning.

Eh, I’ve driven a few of them, and they all feel completely vague. Lot’s of play, way too much pedal travel, and no sense of urgency, even the one with a 383. The one with a 383 just sounded a little better. Not saying it wasn’t quick, it just didn’t feel quick.

I’m not a Chevy guy per se, but I’m happy to endorse a good truck when I see one, and I’ve got a lot of wheel time in those GM trucks. I am a Ford guy, and having worked on several, I think Ford dropped the ball with the ‘97-up F150s in several ways. I mean, they’re not a “bad” truck necessarily, but no mechanic who has ever tangled with one will tell you the Triton is a good engine. The ‘96 and earlier like mine though, like a rock ;)

I’m going to get flamed for this, but if you cannot kill a truck with 300K+ hard miles, it probably won’t ever die.
So I nominate the GMT800 Heavy Duty pickup, with the Duramax/Allison powertrain.
Not in the least part because I own one...

Wrong 3.0L Ford V6...
The Vulcans were *pushrod* V6s. The Duratec V6 was a DOHC V6 design that was the rough basis for the Aston 6.0L V12.

My 95 RWD Eddie Bauer agrees with this. However, I’d nominate the GMT800 rather than the GMT400 trucks, but that’s just personal preference.
Unless you are forcing a 6.5 Detroit Diesel on them...than that’s just being cruel. You receive 25 Science Collaboration Points.

Only to 60 though. Still held the record for world’s fastest production truck till the ram SRT10 came along. Also a supercharged V8 will always sound better than a turbo V6.
